Election? What Election?

Thinking of starting up your own recruitment business, then we say, election? What Election?..

The internet is a marvellous thing but, no matter how sophisticated it is, the truth is it’s not possible to predict exactly when you’ll be reading this.

So, it’s equally impossible to predict what’s happened by the time you are reading it. What was the result of the General Election?

It doesn’t matter!!

That may sound like a sweeping statement, and of course there will be political implications for everyone. But, if you were thinking of starting your own recruitment business last week, last month, there’s no reason not to do it, whatever the outcome of the election.

Let’s assume you’ve notched up five years or so experience in recruitment. Maybe you’ve spent two of those years running your own desk, or specialising in a particular sector. Let’s assume also that, like many a recruitment consultant in that position, you’ve given serious thought to setting up on your own. You’ve got the knowhow, but somehow don’t see the rewards. You’ve got the ideas, but it’s difficult to get them put into practice. You could do this so well, if only you could do it – your way.

Is any of your ambition, drive or motivation going to change as the result of a general election?

Think about it this way. If you’re serious about starting your own business you’re in it for the long haul. We’re unlikely to have the same government from now until you retire! So, there will always be political change, which means hesitating now is pointless.

The point is, you can do it!!

In fact, you could argue that times of political change are good for recruitment. Whatever new direction is taken, or policies implemented, somehow somewhere it creates jobs.

But, the real recruitment entrepreneurs create their own opportunities. They always have. Always will.

And yet, starting up your own recruitment business brings challenges that many of even the most entrepreneurial consultants find daunting. Finance to launch, premises to arrange, legal issues of incorporation to address – they’re all potential barriers to taking the big step from employee to employer.

Helping recruitment professionals start their own businesses is what we The Recruit Venture Group do. With zero financial risk, plus shares and dividends, you’re free to concentrate on starting up. With access to a full back office and support system you’re operational from day one.

Because you’ll be properly funded you’ll be able to draw a salary from the start, and that’s an enormous help. Knowing that your lifestyle and domestic costs are covered means you can focus on building your business.

As far as we’re concerned, yes we do want to know that you’ve got those five or so years of recruitment experience, and that you’ve specialised in a sector or run your own team.

After that, it’s time to talk through the detail and get you up and running. Irrespective of the ‘great events’ that are ‘changing lives’ because there’s been a general election.

It’s not going to change our view of you. And we don’t think it’s going to change your ambition.
