Wellbeing. It’s the big one for recruiters in 2018. Its importance and relevance is cropping up everywhere. From the HR professionals we hear that a climate of ‘wage stagnation’ will drive employers to offering wellbeing perks to offset stalled salaries.
Elsewhere we learn that investment in employee wellbeing will be key to employers’ staff retention strategies. Wellbeing we are told will benefit businesses and society.
How’s it looking for you?
As a recruitment professional it’s probably impacting on you in several ways. It’s something – another thing – you’ll need to get up to speed on so that you can advise clients on its place in job descriptions and their overall offering to attract candidates.
As to candidates – you’re probably going to be spending some of your time – more of of your time – on managing their expectations when it comes to the job they’re looking for.
And you, yourself? Is a new work station, a stand up desk maybe, going to offset your expectations? Or reduce the workload and stress of an ever demanding job? Demands that now include guiding clients and advising candidates about wellbeing because……you can see where this is going. We’ve just covered it.
If there was one thing that would really improve your wellbeing it would of course be running your own recruitment business, your way. Having control of your own future, and seeing realistic rewards for your efforts would really make yourself feel better about life. Except off course, from where you’re sitting – running a busy desk – the route to that position in life looks more stressful than where you already are.
You’ve doubtless already given it some thought. Set up a business, getting all the legal stuff sorted out. Finding premises. Launching a brand. Website to do.
Before any of that you need to get financial backing in place. After all of that there’s the question of installing systems and software.
And what about your lifestyle? Or to put it more bluntly – paying the mortgage and bills and maintaining the way you live now.
On the face of it, it doesn’t sound like the way to wellbeing. Does it?
Let’s cut to the chase.
At the Recruit Venture Group we provide 100% risk free funding, shares in, and dividends from, your own company and full access to our back office and systems. We guide you through the legalities of setting up your own business, help with branding and websites and even provide an invoicing service.
Supported to that extent you’re able to pay yourself a salary, and benefit from that stability and peace of mind.
And there’s no better way to wellbeing than peace of mind.
We need some reassurances too. If we’re going to support you in launching your own recruitment business we need to know that you’ve got five years consecutive experience in the recruitment industry, and ideally three years track record within a sector you can operate in.
Once you’re up and running you may have ideas on furnishings and techniques that will help your staff with their wellbeing. You’ll have the time and freedom to guide and advise clients on how best to address the need for wellbeing as a recruitment and retention tool.
